Solicitor – Family

We are expanding and a role has arisen for a Solicitor to join our privately-funded Family Department in our friendly, motivated and forward-thinking firm.

The department deals largely with family finances on divorce ranging for mid to high net worth. We also deal with pre-nuptial agreements, disputes between cohabitants in relation to jointly-owned property and children cases concerning the arrangements for their care and divorce.

The Candidate

  • Experienced Solicitor – with 5 to 10 years' PQE
  • The ability to demonstrate high quality client care skills
  • The ability to be well organised and conscious of Court deadlines is essential
  • Commercially astute and technically strong
  • Practical skills in communication, organisation and client relations
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a strong and supportive team

Solicitor – Dispute Resolution

We are expanding and a role has arisen for a Solicitor to join the Dispute Resolution Department in our friendly, motivated and forward-thinking firm.

The department deals with a broad range of civil disputes, including the following areas:

Property related disputes – boundary disputes, neighbour disputes, party wall disputes, easements and rights of way disputes.

Residential and Commercial Landlord and Tenant disputes – possession proceedings, disrepair claims, rent reviews, dilapidations and lease renewals.   We mainly act for landlords, but we do, on some occasions, act for tenants.  

Inheritance disputes – including issues relating to validity of Wills, Inheritance Act disputes and applications for the removal of executors.

General contractual disputes mainly relating to the supply of goods and services.

Commercial litigation between business owners.

Employment disputes – settlement agreements, disciplinary and grievance matters and unfair dismissal claims

Whilst the candidate may not have experience in all of these areas, previous experience in property and landlord and tenant disputes would be desirable.

Solicitor – Commercial Property

A role has arisen for a Solicitor to join our Commercial Property Department in our friendly, motivated, and forward-thinking firm.

The department deals with a range of commercial property work to include leases of industrial units, offices, shops, restaurants etc, acting for landlords and tenants. Option agreements and development matters, freehold and leasehold commercial property sales and purchases, commercial re-mortgage and re-financing.

The Candidate

  • Experienced Solicitor - minimum 3 years' PQE
  • In terms of experience, candidate needs experience between the HOD and junior fee earner
  • Experience to deal with complex cases and help develop the junior fee earner

Solicitor – Public Law Care

A role has arisen for a Public Law Care Solicitor to join the Child Care department in our friendly, motivated, and forward-thinking firm. You must have experience of conducting public law litigation and of undertaking your own advocacy.

The Candidate

  • Experienced Child Care Solicitor - minimum 3 to 5 years' PQE
  • Children Panel Accredited Solicitor – desirable, but not essential
  • Be able to demonstrate high quality client care skills
  • The ability to be well organised and conscientious of Court deadlines is essential
  • Knowledge of Legal Aid and LAA applications desirable
  • Manage a caseload of, primarily parents and other family members in public children cases
  • Be able to undertake own advocacy where possible
