Iain Reed is a solicitor in the Private Client department. He specialises in Probate, Wills, Trusts and Elderly Client Law and has done so since transferring in to the department in 2015.
Iain was enrolled as a solicitor in Northern Ireland in 1982 and where he practised as a General Litigator for six years before joining what was then Berry & Berry LLP in 1987, completing the Qualified Lawyers’ Test to qualify as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1988.
Although Iain has worked for many years as a Criminal Litigation Solicitor, he has discovered that he has a natural affinity to Private Client Law. Iain was a dedicated Partner at Berry & Berry LLP for many years, and he retired from that position in 2020 to enable him to achieve a well-deserved work/life balance. Iain has a wealth of knowledge and experience across several legal fields and this means that he is able to consider and analyse multi-dimensional issues with ease and tenacity. He advises his clients in an empathetic and caring manner, making them feel comfortable whilst discussing often difficult and emotive topics.
Iain is a Higher Court Advocate and has appeared in the Court of Appeal.

A committed family man, Iain likes nothing more than spending time with his wife, children and granddaughter except perhaps walking with his Siberian Husky, Denzel.
