Paul has been a qualified solicitor for 18 years and has spent the entirety of that time in the Commercial and Dispute Resolution department. Paul advises businesses in ownership disputes, contract disputes with suppliers and customers, employment disputes and preparing commercial contracts.

Paul is also a specialist in Landlord and Tenant/Social Housing law and acts for Housing Associations, Private Landlords and Tenants. He deals with drafting tenancy agreements, possession actions, disrepair problems, issues involving anti-social behaviour and succession issues. Paul also deals with all types of property disputes including ownership disputes, boundary disputes, issues regarding rights of way and party walls. He has recently acted for a couple in a boundary dispute case which received coverage in the national press.

Paul’s aim is to achieve the best result for the client for the least expense. If this outcome cannot be achieved through negotiation then Paul is able to fully prepare and assist clients in contested Court hearings.

His recent cases include acting for a local business involved in a £14 million fraud and successfully negotiating a settlement, advising two company directors in a dispute with their co-directors upon the failing of a business and acting for a national transport manufacturer in a dispute with a customer.

Dhruva is currently on maternity leave.

Dhruva qualified in November 2010 and has 8 years of post qualification experience, 4 years of employment law as well as Private Client.

Dhruva is based in our Sevenoaks office and specialises in Private Client law including matters relating to the needs of older clients and life time planning. Since she qualified in 2010, she has gained a wealth of experience dealing with a variety of matters ranging in value and scale. She now regularly deals with high net worth clients and their Estates as well as assisting clients to manage their finances and personal welfare during their lifetime.

Dhruva is keen on promoting the importance of planning for your future by presenting and giving talks to the local community, those affected by Dementia and their family members. She aims to build lasting legal relationships with her clients and is happy to tailor her service to the needs of her clients.

Matt heads up the Criminal Litigation team and has a strong focus on major crime, including successfully representing one of the defendants in the £53 million Securitas Robbery Trial and successfully representing a suspect in the “Body in the Suitcase Murder”. He is a member of The Solicitors Association of Higher Court Advocates and is Duty Solicitor qualified.

Matt is currently instructed by a client suspected of being involved in one of the biggest frauds in the country with the value in the 100’s of millions. The case is being investigated by the Serious Fraud Office who investigate and prosecute serious fraud, bribery and corruption cases.

Matt qualified as a solicitor in 1999  and has an impressive academic career that includes a BSC (Hons) Psychology London University, Common Professional Examination in Law, Post graduate Legal Practice Course at College of Law London, Higher Court Advocate, Duty Solicitor Qualified. Matt initially practised family law prior to specialising in crime/ criminal litigation for the last 18 years.

In addition to heading up our Property team Robert has developed expertise in specialist areas of property practice including residential conveyancing, lease extensions and freehold acquisitions on behalf of tenants, farming and agricultural property law, bank finance and secured lending, and commercial property.

Robert also advises businesses on commercial leases, sales and purchases of going concerns, and new build development. He is also the firm’s senior responsible officer under its Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation.

His recent high profile cases include the acquisition of a 220 acre mixed residential and agricultural farm site for £6.75m and acting for a borrower taking a £5m loan against a residential portfolio of 44 properties.

Robert qualified in 2007 and trained with the firm before joining the Property Department, where he worked his way up to become a partner in 2010 and subsequently head of department.

Yashin has been a member of the firm’s Family team for over 20 years. He is highly experienced and has an excellent reputation for dealing with all aspects of family law, with a particular expertise in resolving complex financial issues following relationship breakdown. Yashin is committed to finding resolutions through negotiations wherever possible.

Yashin qualified as a solicitor in 1995, having trained at Berry & Berry.  Yashin is a member of Resolution and a Mediator.

Anna qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and spent the first half of her career working in a large city law firm where she dealt with all aspects of commercial real estate in particular advising both landlords and tenants on commercial leases.   During that time Anna developed a particular specialism telecoms law in relation to property and acted for a large well known telecoms operator on the acquisition of cell sites.  Anna is equally experienced in all aspects of residential conveyancing including freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.  Anna brings together all the skill of a city lawyer with the friendly pragmatic and commercial approach of an experienced residential conveyancer.

Anthony Herman (known as Tony) joined the firm in 1964. Many of his clients have been with him for over 40 years and he is often dealing with matters for the children and grandchildren of his original clients.

Kizzy Packer has been a member of the firm’s Property Team for over 20 years. Having worked and gained experience at all of the firm’s offices she was admitted as a Member of The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2003 and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2005.

She has extensive experience dealing with residential property matters including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.

Melanie is a partner in our property team and is expert in all aspects of residential conveyancing including new-build properties (acting for both developers and purchasers), transfers of equity and in commercial property and landlord and tenant matters.

Melanie has been a property lawyer for over 30 years, working initially for a central London firm, followed by two high profile law firms in Kent before joining the property team at Berry & Lamberts in October 2013.

Sharon is a Family Solicitor with over 29 years’ experience, being admitted in 1988. She is a trained mediator, and a member of Resolution. She has extensive experience in dealing with the financial aspects of separation and divorce, dealing with disputes between parents in private law children cases (for residence and contact) and dealing with financial issues upon the separation of cohabiting couples.

Sharon is an elected member of the Committee for Kent Resolution First for Family law and was the Secretary for Maidstone Domestic Violence Forum for a number of years. She is well known for the depth of knowledge and skill she brings to dealing with domestic abuse cases.

She is the Vice Chair and the Trustee of Maidstone Citizens Advice Bureau.

Will qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and became a Partner in the firm in 2014. He specialises in both Residential and Commercial Property work and acts for a wide range of clients buying and selling properties in the local area and further afield. Will also acts for property developers on the acquisition of sites and then the subsequent plot sales, as well as for a number of businesses on Commercial Property matters.

Will’s recent high profile cases include acting for a local authority on the acquisition of a freehold mixed use high street premises for in excess of £4m, acting for a tenant on a lease at Bluewater Shopping Centre and acting for a local property developer on the acquisition and refinancing of a town centre development site.

Anthony has been a solicitor for nearly 30 years having qualified as a solicitor in 1987. He joined the firm’s Private Client team in 2011 and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He is very experienced in Probate, Wills and Trusts.

Charlotte specialises in child care and domestic abuse cases. She is a member of The Law Society Children Panel and of Resolution. With over ten years experience, having qualified in 2002,  of care proceedings and private law children cases Charlotte has an in depth knowledge of her field of work. She also has a particular interest in assisting and representing individuals in cases involving domestic abuse. She has acted for clients in all levels of Court up to and including the Court of Appeal.

David qualified as a solicitor in 2010, and joined Berry and Lamberts in August 2019.

David is based in our Tunbridge Wells office, and works in the Private Client Department. Since qualifying David has always specialised in the field of Private Client law and has gained extensive experience in this area. He prides himself on being able to communicate effectively to explain complex legal issues in a language that clients can understand.

David is a full member of STEP (The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and an associate member of SFE (Solicitors for the Elderly)

Dianne has been a member of our Dispute Resolution team for over 15 years. She qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2000, obtained her Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice with distinction in 2002 and qualified as a solicitor the same year.

Dianne has significant experience of dealing with personal injury claims and is a member of APIL (the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers).  She also advises on employment law, contract and consumer law and general dispute resolution.

Eleanor joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2014 having graduated from Hull University with a 1st class honours degree in Law and with a distinction in her Diploma of Legal Practice from the University of Law, York. Following being admitted in 2016 Eleanor chose to specialise in property work.

Qualified Solicitor since 2009, initially dealing with family and with a private client case load. Quite quickly this progressed into a solely private client caseload. Emma is an affiliate member of STEPS.

Partner Iain works with in the  Private Client team specialising in Probate matters, Wills, Trusts and Vulnerable Client issues as well as conducting some residential conveyancing. He is the Honorary Secretary of the Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge & District Law Society and is a member of the Paddock Wood Business Association.

Iain is a Member of the LLP, a solicitor and Higher Court Advocate. He qualified as a solicitor in Northern Ireland in 1982 and in England and Wales in 1988. Iain was a litigator at Berry & Berry from 1987 to 2014 when he joined the Private Client Department.

Prior to qualifying as a Solicitor in 2008 Jane was a qualified Social Worker specialising in child protection and child care in an outer London borough. She was an experienced Social Worker practitioner, Senior Manager and Independent Reviewing Officer and has an extensive working knowledge of Children’s Services procedures.

Jane is a member of The Law Society Children Panel.

Joanna qualified as a solicitor in 2017 and is based at our Tunbridge Wells office. Having worked in Private Client since 2012, Joanna has a wealth of experience in future planning for clients from various backgrounds and of all ages.

Lisa qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and joined the firm’s Private Client team in July 2012 having worked previously for large city firms, a small niche private client firm and a local authority. She was also the external examiner for the property head of the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT). Lisa deals with all types of Private Client matters.

Lisa has  7 ½ years private client experience, 5 years as a commercial property lawyer between 1994-1999 and 6 years as examiner for QLTT covering property , wills and estate administration

Sam joined our Dispute Resolution team in February 2020. He originally qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, before completing his Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course, qualifying as a solicitor in 2018.

Sam takes on variety of civil litigation matters, acting for both businesses and individuals alike, though he specialises in disputes arising out of the sale of goods and professional services. His approach is to consider all options available to the client, regarding both the facts of the case and the client’s objectives.

Sam also advises on contentious probate matters, property disputes, employment law, contract and consumer law and general dispute resolution.

A Family Law Solicitor with many years’ experience Simon has particular expertise in dealing with financial disputes arising out of divorce/separation, including cases involving international elements with assets abroad. Simon has extensive knowledge of matters concerning property disputes between co-habitees and is very skilled in acting for parents in cases involving the appropriate arrangement for their children’s care.

Simon was admitted in 1982. Simon has been a Family Law solicitor exclusively for ten years. Before that, as well as Family Law, he also handled Conveyancing work both domestic and commercial , Landlord and Tenant Work and Civil Litigation.

Sohret is currently on maternity leave.

is a Solicitor in the Private Client team. She was admitted  as a solicitor on 17th September 2018. Prior to this seat she was working closely with Yashin Masoliver, Head of Family, on matrimonial and financial disputes and Charlotte Sloan, Solicitor, on complex care and children matters.

Prior to joining the firm Sohret worked as a paralegal in London for two years specialising in care, child law and domestic abuse. She is currently on the Citizens Advice Bureau’s Solicitor’s Rota and sees their client’s, once every six months pro bono.

Simeon joined the firm in September 2019 as a trainee, having graduated from King’s College London with a 1^st class honours degree in law and with a distinction for the LPC in BPP University. While studying the LPC, he was a volunteer for the Personal Support Unit based in the Royal Courts of Justice.

Simeon works with the Private Client team in the Sevenoaks office.

Jenny is an integral part of the Property team in our Sevenoaks office. She works with William Moore, Partner. Jenny has a broad range of property expertise and works efficiently with all parties to provide clear, effective communication and conveyancing within the fastest timeframe possible.

Verity joined the firm in 2018 having spent the last 17 years working in the residential property sector as a legal secretary, conveyancing assistant and conveyancer.  She qualified as a Licensed Conveyancer in 2015.

Anita is a Secretary in the Private Client team.  Her role is to assist the Solicitors in the Private Client team and in particular Jude O’Connor who specialises in Vulnerable Client work, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters.

Charlotte joined the Property team in 2010 as a Paralegal after obtaining the Ilex Paralegal qualification. Charlotte assists three solicitors by dealing with all post exchange, completion and post completion matters in both residential and commercial transactions. She has a high level of expertise in relation to registrations with the Land Registry, is bilingual in English and French, and fluent in Spanish.

• Heather works with our property team and is based in Paddock Wood. She works with solicitors dealing with residential conveyancing, commercial property and landlord and tenant.

Louisa works in the Conveyancing team at our Paddock Wood Office. She deals with all areas of administration relating to the buying and selling of commercial and residential property.

Nina is the Department Manager in the Criminal Litigation team.  Her role also includes assisting the criminal litigation solicitors in the day-to-day preparation of cases.

Nina has a degree in Business Administration and has been a member of our Criminal Litigation team for over 12 years.

I have over 30 years’ experience of working within legal finance, this has been involving a mix of different companies from Magic Circle; large US Law Branch Offices to Boutique central London firms.

As well as managing all Finance functions for Berry and Lamberts on an operational level. I am also involved with the Partners on a strategic level.

Garry is responsible for maintaining IT systems and the case management system (ALB) for all staff. He maintains systems from desktops to servers and networks, organising and maintaining regular backups and disaster recovery. He also advises on and manages the annual budget for the department.

Mandy is a highly professional member of the team with a pro-active approach to encouraging and enabling a successful company. With a hands on attitude she understands what is needed and is willing to go above and beyond to enable the company to succeed.

Having worked in the legal professional for over 30 years, starting as a Secretary/PA to her current role she has the knowledge to cope with a varied workload and has efficient organisational skills.

Melissa is an experienced Marketing Manager within B2B and B2C industries in both the public and private sector. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in International Tourism Management with a Higher French Diploma in 1992 and has spent over 20 years working in marketing, with over 10 years in a senior Marketing & Communications role at the National Trust.

Alison has worked in law for over 30 years and during that time has gained a wealth of experience.  Alison is happy to join the Family Team at Tunbridge Wells.

Chelsey has just joined our Sevenoaks Office as a Trainee Legal Secretary after passing her Level 2 & 3 CILEx Diploma as a Legal Secretary.

She will be supporting William Moore in the residential and commercial property department.

Dawn is a Private Client Secretary dealing with all areas of administration for Probate, Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Deputyship Orders, Probate and Conveyancing in our Paddock Wood office.

Debbie is Legal Secretary to Matthew Nickolls, Solicitor in the Crime Department and Sharon Hawkins, Solicitor in the Family Department, based in our Tonbridge office. She works closely with the solicitors and clients to provide excellent service delivery.

Denise joined the company in 2001 as Secretary in the Conveyancing team in Tonbridge where she worked for 12 years. In 2013 she became a member of the Conveyancing team in the Sevenoaks office. Denise supports the team in many aspects of conveyancing.

Supports the Private Client team dealing with probate, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. 

Gail is a Conveyancing Secretary in our Kings Hill office working with Kizzy Packer. She deals with the administration for residential property matters including freehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.

Ginny works on the switchboard and receptionist at our Tunbridge Wells office. She has been in that role for 26 years and is a font of knowledge!

Jackie assists the Solicitors within the Private Client team, including Probate, Wills and Vulnerable Client work.

Jackie is a Property Secretary within the residential team in Tunbridge Wells. She provides secretarial support to the solicitors and assists them with their day to day workload.

Jemma is a Secretary within the Property team at Kings Hill. She provides secretarial support to Kizzy Packer, Partner.

I have worked for Berry & Lamberts Solicitors since 2005. I currently work as a Costings Assistant in the Tonbridge Office. My role involves claiming costs from the Legal Aid Agency in the Criminal Litigation and Family Department.

Kerrie works in the property department providing  secretarial  support for the  solicitors. Dealing with residential and commercial sales and purchases. Also carries out reception duties, meeting and greeting clients.

Selina is a Secretary in the Private Client team.  Her role is to assist the solicitors within the team, namely Anthony Kalp and Lisa Maley, covering Wills, Probate and Vulnerable Client work.

Susan has worked with the firm for a number of years and is a Secretary within our Property team in Tunbridge Wells.

Verity previously worked for the firm as a Costing Clerk in 2014 and re-joined the firm in October 2015 as a cashier. She carries out all the day to day duties in the Accounts team.

Zoe is Assistant to Yashin Masoliver (The Head of the Family Department) She is often the first port of call for many of our clients. With many years’ experience working in law firms, she appreciates that her  role requires complete discretion and professionalism at all times.
